About The Position

At Cardinal McCloskey Community Services (CMCS), our mission is to protect, empower, and promote independence for at-risk children and families and those with developmental disabilities through quality community-based services. As a Clinician at our McCloskey Cares Clinic, you will provide compassionate care through individual, group, and family therapy, as well as crisis intervention, to support the mental health and emotional well-being of children and families facing challenges. Your work will contribute to children feeling seen, heard, and supported as they move toward brighter futures.

Requirements

• Master's level clinician with a degree in social work, mental health counseling – with diagnostic privilege (LMHC,LMSW); Licensure or limit-permit required
• Bilingual in the Spanish language required.
• Minimum one year experience providing clinical assessments/treatments, and/or case management services for children/adolescents and families.
• Knowledge of the complex issues presented by children and families who are involved in the child welfare system.
• Have some working knowledge of NYC systems including ACS, OMH, and DOE

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with OMH-Mental Health Outpatient Treatment and Rehabilitative Service programs operated clinics, Part 599 regulations is preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic services including individual, group, and family therapy
• Provide timely crisis intervention and emotional support
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure coordinated care
• Complete initial treatment plans within 30 days of admission
• Update treatment plans every 180 days and maintain weekly progress notes
• Prepare discharge summaries and ensure smooth transitions out of care
