About The Position

This is a per diem position (no benefits). Mid-level clinician with specialized skills in bereavement support services. Provides clinical services to bereaved adults and children through direct services to patients, families and the community through individual, couples, family, or group counseling. Provides culturally appropriate and family-centered care delivery of bereavement services. Assist in promotion of culturally responsive family-centered care and wellness of grieving families by identifying, interpreting, and reducing psychosocial factors contributing to the acuity of the grief experience. Acts as a resource for staff, patient, families and the community and serves as content expert in the field of bereavement. Provide crisis intervention, as needed, to assist families and children during the acute stages of grief and bereavement. This individual will support the Journey Program made up of a culturally diverse team who is providing culturally responsive grief and bereavement support to families in which a child has died.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Divinity or related field.
  • Multidisciplinary team experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in crisis intervention and assessment of psychosocial needs of the bereaved.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of working with children.
  • Currently Licensed in Washington State as a Licensed Social Work Associate Independent Clinical (LSWAIC) or License Mental Therapists or Psychologist, Chaplain.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases.
  • Experience in providing individual and group psychotherapy to adults using a variety of evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT, IPT, etc.).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with multicultural/diverse patients.
  • Multidisciplinary team experience.
