About The Position

Responsible for providing clinical assessment and treatment services to clients with a variety of mental health issues in an outpatient clinic setting. Work requires the ability to prepare detailed assessment of patient referrals and provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions. Works collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide optimal, quality services to clients. Responsible for completion of client medical records, in compliance with regulatory standards. Develops discharge plans and linkages aimed to encourage functioning within the community. Will participate in staff meetings, trainings, in-services and supervision.

Requirements

Master’s degree in social work, psychology or closely related field.
Licensure required commensurate to degree as required by the State of New Jersey.
Proficiency of Microsoft Office.
Ability to communicate fluently in American Sign Language, familiarity with Deaf Culture and be knowledgeable about current technology in use for individuals with hearing loss (for ACCESS program only).
Valid driver’s license with no pending violations and an acceptable safe driving record, as well as compliance with Qualifications to Drive a System Vehicle as well as all policies as outlined in the SJH Fleet Management & Safety Program.
Knowledge of and experience in assessing and treating individuals with co-occurring disorders using evidence-based practice (for Integrated Treatment for Co-Occurring Disorders Outpatient Clinic only).
Experience facilitating groups using a mutual aid model (for Integrated Treatment for Co-Occurring Disorders Outpatient Clinic only).

Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

Developing discharge plans and linkages aimed to encourage functioning within the community.
Participating in staff meetings, trainings, in-services and supervision.
Assisting in case management, advocacy, and outside referrals when necessary.
Providing on-call services on rotating bases.
Providing services in one of our Satellite offices 1x a week in order to meet the needs of our NJ Deaf community.
Assessing and treating individuals with co-occurring disorders using evidence-based practice (for Integrated Treatment for Co-Occurring Disorders Outpatient Clinic only).
Facilitating groups using a mutual aid model (for Integrated Treatment for Co-Occurring Disorders Outpatient Clinic only).
