About The Position

The Clinician diagnoses and treats mental health disorders, develops individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and circumstances, and meets regularly with patients to provide counseling and treatment. The Clinician adjusts treatment plans as necessary and conducts ongoing assessments of patient progress. This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt, office-based position in Roseville, Michigan, paying $31.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or another related and applicable field.
• Active status with licensure or certification appropriate to the professional field and governing body, such as LLMSW, LMSW, or LPC.
• Must be certified by the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals as a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), or have a registered development plan and be timely in its implementation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screenings and comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for substance use disorders and co-occurring behavioral health issues for individuals seeking outpatient counseling, following best practices and agency policies and procedures, including identifying a diagnosis.
• Counsel individuals and groups about psychological or emotional problems, such as stress, substance use, or family situations.
• Develop and implement therapeutic treatment plans using a person-centered and family-centered philosophy.
• Meet with patients regularly to provide counseling and treatment, adjust treatment plans as needed, and assess patient progress.
