About The Position

Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 333-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus including at a network of Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis. The Clinician performs a variety of individual, family, and group therapeutic interventions if applicable, and is familiar with best practices for a variety of patient populations. This position manages a panel of patients by identifying therapeutic needs and provides psychotherapy within the primary care setting. The clinician oversees and implements pilot program for virtual Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) intervention. The Clinician collaborates with Eskenazi Health Center medical staff to ensure continuity of care for all patients.

Requirements

Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy and associate license (LMHCA)
After 2 years employee must obtain clinical license, to be able to continue employment with Eskenazi Health Center, any of the following licenses are acceptable to move to license clinical position: LCSW, LMHC, LMFT or LMHCA.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to be both clear and concise in written and verbal communications
Advanced knowledge of psychiatric/addiction diagnoses and understanding of their impact on behavior and all life domains
Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their uses and side effects
Demonstrates solid knowledge of psychiatric/addiction diagnosis and understands of their impact on behavior and all life domains
Willingness and ability to work cooperatively in a multidisciplinary team
Ability to use age-appropriate communication skills
Ability to interpret and apply complex directives, information and regulations

Responsibilities

Completes biopsychosocial evaluation (BPSE), diagnostic summary, and clinical Treatment plans with an emphasis on patient-collaboration and input.
Manages a panel of patients by identifying therapeutic needs and providing evidence-based interventions focusing on improving individualized mental health outcomes.
Provides individual psychotherapy rooted in evidenced-based practice to support a diverse patient population
Performs a variety of individual, family and group (when applicable) therapeutic interventions, and is familiar with best practices for a variety of client populations
Evaluates and updates the treatment plan at intervals determined by guidelines, consulting with client family and team in this process
Advocates for clients to ensure access to needed services including submitting referrals to provide help to address patient social determinants of health
Collaborates with Eskenazi Health Center medical staff to ensure continuity of care
Meets agency standards of timely completion of all documentation
Meets agency standards of schedule utilization and is proactive with the metal health center team to provide feedback on patient access and ensure access to urgent requests.
Identifies any high- risk client symptoms or circumstances that would result in risk for self-harm or harm to others and notifies appropriate higher level clinical staff for consultation and or create safety plan for patients
Interprets and applies service and billing procedures according to client needs; completes billing according to guidelines for timeliness and accuracy
Alters activities and behaviors to reflect and ensure adequate care which is appropriate to the age of the clients served
Pilots virtual CBT program that includes direct collaboration with patients, Licensed Clinicians, and Mental Health Program Manager
Completes monthly reports ensuring data collection is obtained to monitor CBT program objectives
Demonstrate commitment to professional growth by actively participating in individual clinical supervision weekly (as required for clinical licensure) and group clinical supervision monthly
Tracks required clinical hours and supervision to obtain Clinical License within 2 years
