About The Position

Cascade Community Healthcare (CCH) is seeking a Clinician II or III to join their team at the Crisis Relief Center. This role involves facilitating admission intakes, treatment planning, discharge planning, obtaining collateral information, providing individual and family therapy, clinical interventions, crisis management, and developing support systems. The clinician will initiate personalized care for individuals in crisis and stabilizing from crisis, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary treatment team to coordinate care and discharge planning with individuals, families, clinics, local providers, and referral sources. The position supports operational needs through 3x12 and 4x12 shifts, with scheduling subject to change based on utilization and patient care demands.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in counseling or the social sciences required.
  • Must be licensed (LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW), or have Associate License credential (LMHCA, LMFTA, or LICSWA), or Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor (LAAC) credential, or eligible to obtain LAAC; LAAC also requires two years of supervised experience.
  • Must be able to pass WA State Patrol background check. A national background check may be required if have not lived in WA state consecutively the last three years.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to represent the agency in a positive and professional manner.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must comply with agency policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to pass Violence Prevention Training.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates admission intakes, treatment planning, discharge planning, obtaining collateral, individual therapy, clinical interventions, crisis management, family therapy, support system development, and initiates personalized care for individuals who are in crisis and stabilizing from crisis.
  • Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary treatment team to coordinate care and discharge planning for individuals, their family members, clinics, local providers, and/or other referral sources.
  • Conducts a thorough, accurate, clinically sound psychosocial assessment with the individual in a timely manner.
  • Educates and informs individuals of consents for treatment and authorizations for use and disclosures.
  • Participates regularly in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Collaborates with the treatment team to develop and implement an individualized person-centered treatment plan that is appropriate for brief intervention.
  • Gathers collateral from the individual and involved parties to provide a thorough assessment of what an individuals' needs are for treatment and discharge.
  • Actively coordinates care and provide referrals for individuals to ensure services are coordinated with both facility staff and external providers.
  • Identifies and addresses gaps in service needs for participating parties in service delivery to the individual and makes appropriate recommendations to meet the individuals’ needs upon discharge.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team to engage, monitor and communicate with the individual ensuring that safety is maintained while meeting the individuals' needs.
  • Conducts brief intervention, individual, and family counseling within scope of practice.
  • Participates in redirecting individual behavior while maintaining a safe milieu when necessary.
  • Maintains the Electronic Health Record (EHR), including documentation of activities performed as part of the service delivery process.
  • Obtains signatures from individuals regarding treatment, as necessary.
  • Ensures documentation complies with best clinical practices, contracts, regulatory, and other legal requirements.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the Washington State behavioral health system and potential funding sources.
  • Participates in individual and group supervision as required.
  • Participates in ongoing education, including in-services, training, and other activities to maintain and improve competency.
  • Demonstrates competency through post-testing, skill observation, and performance as assessed by direct supervisor.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
