About The Position

The Clinician I will assess and deliver quality mental health care to youth and family in Community, Home, School, or Residential setting under appropriate supervision. This role involves assessing client needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, providing individual and group therapy, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure client well-being. The position also requires maintaining compliant documentation and potentially providing transportation for clients. Adherence to Hillside policies and governmental regulations is essential. Specific programs may involve on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

Master’s degree required
Must be license eligible
If not licensed, obtain a limited permit upon hire and successfully pass licensing exam by the end of permit period.
LMSWs pursuing LCSW licensure must complete all required supervised hours within three (3) years of full-time employment or six (6) years of part-time employment.
Unrestricted, valid NYS driver’s license for minimum of 1 year with a clean driving record and minimum insurance coverage that meets agency standards.
Ability and willingness to travel
CPR certification required or obtained within 60 days of hire (for Residential Treatment Facilities and Youth ACT programs).
Demonstrate ability to assess and treat youth and families.
Ability to advocate for children/youth/families in order to achieve the best possible outcomes; communicates reasonable expectations and facilitates the achievement of results.
Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards of conduct towards all.
Demonstrate ability to utilize conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

Assist the Clinical team in the assessment of Hillside youth and family needs through clinical interventions to treat and achieve positive outcomes.
Create, implement, evaluate, and modify, as needed, individual treatment plans to meet assessed client’s unique needs as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
Assess and facilitate referrals to Hillside services and resources provided by the treatment team.
Provide individual and group therapy, as well as family therapy, based on client needs.
Collaborate with other informal supports, community, and mental health providers to provide needed services to clients.
Develop, maintain, and retain all required documentation in a compliant and timely manner including, but not limited to, clinical assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Act as the primary contact for the treatment plan for youth being treated.
May provide transportation for youth as needed to appointments, meetings, or appearances.
Ensure Hillside policies, procedures and all applicable governmental laws/regulations/guidelines are followed.
On call responsibilities as scheduled for Youth ACT and Therapeutic Foster Care programs.
Employees may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
