About The Position

This position is for a Clinician I/II at Napa CBFS, requiring Spanish speaking proficiency. The role involves providing comprehensive, strength-based, culturally competent, flexible, and effective mental health services, including psychotherapeutic interventions, to eligible at-risk youth and their families. Services are delivered based on clinical need and in consultation with a supervisor, in various community settings such as homes, offices, and schools. The clinician will coordinate and facilitate intake meetings, manage overall assessment, and develop/implement Client Plans and Re-Assessment/Re-Authorization Client Plans. Responsibilities include documenting Medi-Cal eligible billable and non-billable services, ensuring safety plans are in place, and coordinating care with external providers. The role also involves attending staff meetings, clinical supervision, and consultation meetings, providing services to youth involved in Child Welfare Services, Juvenile Justice, and Mental Health systems, and participating in the agency on-call rotation and utilization/accreditation/peer review processes. The clinician is responsible for meeting Employee Development Plan outcomes and modeling positive attitudes towards the agency's Mission, Vision, and Values. Collaboration with internal programs, departments, and staff is essential, as is maintaining positive relationships with consumers and customers. The clinician will coordinate with other Medi-Cal model services, ensuring documentation meets or exceeds agency, County Children's Mental Health, and Short-Doyle Medi-Cal standards. Agency-specific duties include performing all tasks consistent with agency principles and values, adhering to professional codes of ethics, agency policies, contractor requirements, and regulatory requirements. Utilizing and maintaining a work calendar for time management and sharing information with coworkers is expected, as is participating in ongoing training. Other duties as assigned by the agency will also be performed.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
  • Clinician I: Registered as an Associate Social Worker (ASW), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC).
  • Clinician II: Registered with CA-BBS as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) credential.
  • At least 1 year of experience providing services to youth and their families.
  • Spanish speaking required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead case coordinator, providing comprehensive, strength-based, culturally competent, flexible, effective, quality mental health services, including psychotherapeutic interventions, to eligible at-risk youth and families.
  • Provide services based on clinical need and in consultation with supervisor to assigned youth and families in the home, office, school, or other community-based settings.
  • Coordinate and facilitate initial intake meetings with consumers meeting agency and County timelines and expectations.
  • Be responsible for the overall assessment, development, and implementation of Assessment Client Plans and Re-Assessment and Re-Authorization Client Plans.
  • Provide and document all Medi-Cal eligible billable and non-billable services, including but not limited to assessment, plan development, group session, collateral, rehabilitation, In Home Based Services (IHBS) case management, Intensive Care Coordination (ICC), and crisis intervention within required timelines.
  • Ensure every family has an individualized safety plan that maximizes the use of natural supports and community-based resources.
  • Coordinate care with any external providers (e.g., psychiatry services).
  • Attend all staff meetings, clinical supervision, and consultation meetings as scheduled.
  • Provide services to youth involved in the Child Welfare Services, Juvenile Justice, and Mental Health systems, meeting all County requirements as listed in program scope.
  • Participate in the agency on-call rotation.
  • Participate in utilization, accreditation, and peer review processes as assigned.
  • Be responsible for meeting all outcomes as documented in the Employee Development Plan.
  • Model and communicate appropriate positive attitudes towards the agency’s Mission, Vision, and Values and program outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with all internal programs, departments, and staff to provide support as needed.
  • Maintain positive relationships with consumers and customers.
  • Coordinate with other services provided under the Medi-Cal model, acting in collaboration with other partners and ensuring documentation reflects standards that meet or surpass the agency, County Children's Mental Health, and Short-Doyle Medi-Cal standards.
  • Perform all duties in a manner consistent with the principles and values of the agency, while adhering to applicable professional codes of ethics, the agency’s policies and procedures, contractor requirements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize and maintain a calendar with all work-related details in order to manage time effectively and share calendar information with coworkers.
  • Participate in on-going training to expand and develop professional skills.
  • Perform other duties as necessary for the agency, as assigned.
