About The Position

New River Valley Community Services (NRVCS) is seeking a Functional Family Therapy Clinician to join their Intensive Services Team. This role focuses on providing evidence-based treatment to families and children at risk of out-of-home placement. NRVCS is committed to innovative, evidence-based treatment approaches and offers extensive training in the Functional Family Therapy model. The position includes regular supervision, licensure supervision, competitive pay, and a comprehensive benefits package. An additional $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or other license-eligible Human Services field is required.
At least one year of clinical experience working with individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, developmental and/or intellectual disabilities is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Virginia Licensure as a Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist is preferred.
Additional compensation will be considered for any new employees who speak multiple languages.

Responsibilities

Provide Functional Family Therapy to families and children at risk of out-of-home placement.
Deliver treatment as part of a comprehensive service array.
Participate in regular supervision, including licensure supervision if applicable.
