About The Position

Alaska Behavioral Health provides comprehensive therapy services for adults experiencing mild, moderate, and severe mental illness. Our services include crisis intervention, psychiatric assessment and treatment, case management in conjunction with therapeutic services, individual and group therapy (including cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy), psycho-social rehabilitation services, peer support, and vocational services. The Clinician I & II roles are part of the Adult Team, with a mission to strengthen Alaska communities and improve the lives of clients by delivering exceptional behavioral healthcare services. The team believes all Alaskans, with all mental health and addiction needs, should have access to the best possible care and is committed to helping Alaskans recover.

Requirements

  • Clinician I: Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or another relevant field
  • Clinician I: Experience working with SMI clients
  • Clinician II: Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, or another relevant field
  • Clinician II: Experience working with CMI/SMI clients

Nice To Haves

  • Clinician I: Background with substance abuse treatment is preferred
  • Clinician II: Background with substance abuse treatment is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide community-based services to adults experiencing mental illness in Anchorage, Alaska
  • Work on a multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, treatment planning, psychosocial skills training, individual and group therapy, case management, crisis intervention and other services driven by client need
