About The Position

Under the supervision and direction of the Health Center Manager and the supervision of the Director of Health Services or Lead Clinician for clinical practice, provides quality care to all patients in compliance with state law, organization standards and protocols, and current scientifically-based standards of care, and incorporates those functions into the overall operations of the organization. Performs all the responsibilities of t In compliance with PPGNHAIK medical protocols, triages, examines, screens, diagnoses, and treats all patients based on current evidence, best practices, and critical judgment; follows up abnormal findings and test results appropriately; seeks consultation and makes appropriate referrals. In a timely fashion, accurately documents in PPGNHAIK’s electronic health record and fosters a functional revenue cycle by entering appropriate charges, diagnosis and CPT codes. Implements new patient services into clinical practice in accordance with protocols and PPGNHAIK training; Serves as clinical leader and partner to the health center manager to ensure quality care, a smoothly functioning health care team, and a positive patient experience. Serves as a clinical preceptor and mentor to new PPGNHAIK Clinicians, and external learners such as Medical Residents, APC and other students Within state specified licensure and scope of practice and PPGNHAIK Medical Standards and Guidelines and privileging, provides confidential healthcare in a compassionate, professional and culturally competent manner to create a positive patient experience. Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats reproductive health concerns including preventive care, contraception, sexually transmitted infections, pregnancy, gender affirming hormone care, and common gynecological conditions. Identifies clinical emergencies and institutes appropriate measures. Fosters affiliate stability by meeting clinician productivity benchmarks and supports a healthy revenue cycle with accurate and timely charge entries, including assignment of appropriate diagnosis and CPT codes. Maintains a cooperative relationship among the health care team by communicating information, responding to requests, building rapport, participating in team problem-solving, and serving as the clinical expert and resource in PPGNHAIK health centers. Serves as a delegator for support staff as required by state regulations (i.e. Medical Assistants). Mainsafe and clean working environment by complying with universal precautions, OSHA/WISHA, CLIA, PPFA, and PPGNHAIK policies and procedures. Participates in organization research projects as they affect medical functions. Mains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. In addition to fulfilling the requirements of a Float Clinician 1, a Float Clinician 2 has mastered the following skills, as required by her/his position and clinical site, and must agree to precept and teach PPGNHAIK new Clinician hires, and external learners such as Medical Residents, APC and other students: • Insertion and removal of IUCs • Insertion and removal of Implants • Ultrasound • Medication Abortion • Management of Early Pregnancy Complications • Pre-Medication and Recovery support of In Clinic Abortion patients • Paracervical Blocks • Endometrial Biopsy • Diaphragm fitting

Requirements

  • Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner, Adult/Family Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, or Physician Assistant (considered as space permits on PPGNHAIK MD licenses).
  • At least 1 year of experience providing women’s health care preferred.
