About The Position

The Clinical Therapist provides therapeutic casework services to individuals, couples, families, and groups to address a wide range of psychological and emotional concerns. Working collaboratively with clients as active participants in their care, the therapist utilizes treatment plans and evidence-based, non-medical interventions to address thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, resolve inner conflicts, and reduce distress. This position is part of an integrated behavioral health program and works closely with AccessHealth providers and community partners through referral, coordination, and advocacy.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Current, valid professional license: LCSW-S, LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
  • Experience in behavioral health settings.
  • High ethical standards and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and self-direction skills.
  • Commitment to strict patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong advocacy skills focused on quality healthcare and services.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Experience working in a community health center or similar setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychotherapy services to AccessHealth clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Conduct client sessions to assess needs, explore concerns, and build therapeutic rapport.
  • Collaborate with medical and other professionals to evaluate client medical or physical conditions when appropriate.
  • Advocate for clients during crises and assist with problem resolution.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and document client progress toward measurable treatment plan goals; modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records, including demographics, services rendered, and progress notes.
  • Complete encounter forms for each client session.
  • Identify environmental, social, or systemic barriers impacting client progress through interviews and record reviews.
  • Stay current with developments in behavioral health theory, research, and best practices.
  • Maintain all required professional licensure and credentials.
  • Provide short-term behavioral health interventions to AccessHealth patients as needed.
  • Participate in behavioral health team meetings and case staffing meetings.
  • Serve as a liaison between AccessHealth and external social service agencies.
  • Comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
