About The Position

SAFY of Kentucky is seeking a full-time Clinical Therapist who will be responsible for providing a range of moderately complex clinical services (diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, interventions, individual/family therapy, etc.) with children, adolescents and identified adults in our Louisville division. This is a hybrid position that includes both office-based work and field-based services. Therapists provide services in various settings, including the office, client homes, and schools, depending on client needs.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, sociology, or child & family studies is required.
  • Must possess and maintain the appropriate highest level of licensure required by the state - LMFT / LPCC / LCSW / LPCA / CSW (may be under supervision; supervision also available in agency).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and auto insurance coverage to meet travel requirements; may require transporting youth if needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience in providing treatment to youth and families is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

  • Administer scores and interpret assessment instruments.
  • Complete any identified diagnostic assessments.
  • Develop and implement Service Plans based on assessments.
  • Provide ongoing mental health/clinical services as needed or are required by contract.
  • Maintain client documentation in accordance with SAFY policy and COA standards.
  • Services are provided at the level of frequency, intensity, and duration appropriate to prevent placement or achieve reunification. Services provided are tailored to each family’s needs, problems, strengths, lifestyle, and culture.
  • Submit written reports to supervisor and other parties as required timely and accurately regarding the progress of each family’s case.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports that adequately convey the necessary information to permit interpretation and decision-making.
