About The Position

This is a Flex/registry Clinical Therapist position at the Oak Park Counseling Center location. The Clinical Therapist will complete initial intake assessments to new clients entering the program and provide preliminary diagnosis and treatment recommendations. They will deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions to children, adolescents, and adults in the clinic setting. The role involves developing initial and updated therapy treatment plans, maintaining a clinical caseload, and working alongside administrative staff for scheduling. Responsibilities also include maintaining and submitting appropriate documentation and billing under the standards of the outpatient services department, engaging in clinical consultation with the treatment team, ensuring adherence with census requirements, and assuring compliance with applicable laws pertaining to psychiatric treatments. The position requires providing a safe, secure, therapeutic, and professional environment at all times.

Requirements

  • M.A / M.S. in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology or MSW.
  • One year clinical experience within an inpatient/outpatient/school-based setting; the one year can be a training experience as well.
  • LPC/LSW or LCPC/LCSW in Illinois preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Hospital safety policy and procedures.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Must possess knowledge of general psychiatric principles, working concepts and theory, age specific growth and development, limit setting, as well as crisis and behavioral management.
  • Ability to communicate verbally in clear concise manner.
  • Push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending and stooping.

Responsibilities

  • Complete initial intake assessments to new clients entering the program and provide preliminary diagnosis and treatment recommendations.

  • Develop initial and updated therapy treatment plans to guide the client's clinical treatment with the practice.
  • Develop and maintain a clinical caseload while working alongside administrative staff for scheduling.
  • Maintain and submit appropriate documentation as well as billing submission under the standards of the outpatient services department.
  • Engage in clinical consultation with other members of the treatment team as indicated.
  • Ensure adherence with census requirements of the clinic.
  • Assure compliance with applicable laws pertaining to psychiatric treatments.
  • Provide a safe, secure, therapeutic and professional environment at all times.
