Clinical Therapist
About The Position
Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota (LSS) is seeking a Clinical Therapist to join their team at the LSS Canyon Hills Center. This role focuses on providing therapy and support to youth in a psychiatric residential treatment facility. The Clinical Therapist will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to helping youth overcome trauma, repair relationships, develop new skills, and build confidence to reintegrate into their communities. LSS is a large nonprofit human service agency committed to serving individuals of all ages, faiths, races, and economic backgrounds with professional, confidential, and affordable services, guided by values of compassion, appreciation, respect, ethics, and strategic responsiveness.
Requirements
- Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related human service field.
- Must be licensed or certified as a counselor or social work or in the process of obtaining such licensure or certification.
- Must be at least 21 years old and able to complete orientation training according to agency program standards.
- Must successfully complete all agency background checks, which include checks for criminal convictions, behavior harmful towards children, spousal abuse, and drug or sex crimes.
- Requires valid driver's license and ability to obtain approved driver status.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individual plans of care.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
- Provide case consultation and support to direct care staff, the multidisciplinary team, and families.
