About The Position

Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota (LSS) is seeking a Clinical Therapist for its Canyon Hills Center, a psychiatric residential treatment facility. This role involves providing therapy and support to youth overcoming past trauma, repairing relationships, learning new skills, and building confidence to return to their communities. The therapist will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting these youth. Requirements

Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related human service field.
Licensed or certified as a counselor or social worker, or in the process of obtaining such licensure or certification.
At least 21 years old.
Ability to complete orientation training according to agency program standards.
Must successfully complete all agency background checks (including checks for criminal convictions, behavior harmful towards children, spousal abuse, and drug or sex crimes).
Valid driver's license and ability to obtain approved driver status.

Nice To Haves

Two years of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement individual plans of care.
Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
Provide case consultation and support to direct care staff, the multidisciplinary team, and families.
