About The Position

The Clinical Technician (TMS) plays a key role in delivering advanced interventional treatments for psychiatric and neurological conditions at Salma Health. This position primarily supports Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatments (mainly SAINT TMS), with opportunities to assist in Esketamine (Spravato) administration, EEG procedures, and cognitive testing. This role is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on clinical experience in interventional psychiatry and neuroscience, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based, compassionate care.

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant certification or equivalent healthcare experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to provide empathetic patient care.
  • Capacity to learn quickly, follow detailed clinical protocols, and adapt to dynamic care environments.
  • Professionalism, reliability, and composure under pressure.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with TMS, Esketamine, or behavioral health settings.
  • MA, EMT, LVN, or BA in Psychology or Health Sciences preferred.
  • Experience supporting patients in clinical or research environments.

Responsibilities

  • Administer conventional and SAINT TMS protocols in accordance with clinical and safety standards.
  • Monitor and document patient responses in the EHR.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, calibrate equipment, and ensure patient readiness for each session.
  • Communicate effectively with providers, escalating concerns as needed.
  • Greet patients and serve as a welcoming first point of contact.
  • Manage scheduling, check-ins, and follow-up coordination.
  • Ensure timely and accurate patient documentation and data entry in the EHR.
  • Assist with setup, observation, and documentation during Esketamine treatments.
  • Support patient monitoring and safety throughout recovery.
  • Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and research teams to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Participate in data collection and other clinical research activities as directed.
