Join Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus where research and surgery are advanced, technology is leading-edge, patient care is world-class, and caregivers are family. Cleveland Clinic is recognized as one of the top hospitals in the country. At Cleveland Clinic, you will work alongside passionate and dedicated caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world. The Cardiovascular and Vascular Surgery Intensive Care Units provide highly specialized, post-operative critical care for patients recovering from cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures, including open and endovascular thoracic and abdominal aneurysm repairs. Patients are admitted directly from the operating room, where they receive expert critical care focused on stabilization, ventilator weaning, and recovery following surgery. The units also serve as a regional referral center for medically complex patients requiring advanced evaluation or management of post-surgical complications, including those previously considered high risk or not candidates for surgery. The patient population is clinically complex and may require advanced therapies such as intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) support, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and thrombolytic therapy. Q5, the newest of the Cardiovascular ICUs, is a 19-bed unit specializing in robotic-assisted, minimally invasive cardiac surgery. Using advanced robotic technology, surgeons perform complex heart procedures through small incisions, allowing many patients to recover quickly, with most discharged from the unit within 24 hours while others require longer critical care based on their clinical needs. A caregiver in this position works days, 7:00am—7:30pm. Weekends and holidays are required.
