Clinical Technician 2 - Perianesthesia - Adults & Pediatrics
About The Position
Inova Fairfax Hospital’s Perianesthesia – Adults & Pediatrics team is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician 2. The role provides direct patient care under the direct supervision of registered nurses and requires effective communication with team members, patients, and visitors, as well as professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system. Additional duties may be assigned. The position is full time, with day shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The weekly schedule consists of two weekdays and one weekend shift, with days rotating. The employee must be available for six non-consecutive weeks of paid training, including two virtual orientation sessions from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., six classroom-style shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., virtual training modules, and on-unit shifts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience working as a Clinical Technician, or completion of an acute care clinical rotation while actively enrolled in a nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
- Availability for six non-consecutive weeks of paid training.
