Clinical Technician 1 - Observation Unit
About The Position
Inova Fair Oaks Hospital’s Observation Unit is seeking a Clinical Technician 1. The role provides direct patient care under the direct supervision of registered nurses and requires effective communication with team members, patients, and visitors, as well as professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system. Additional duties may be assigned. This is a full-time night position, scheduled 7:00 PM–7:30 AM on rotating days, weekends, and holidays. The employee must be available for six non-consecutive weeks of paid training, including two virtual orientations from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, six classroom-style shifts from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, virtual training modules, and on-unit shifts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, or obtain it within 90 days of hire.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
- Availability for six non-consecutive weeks of paid training.
