Clinical Technician 1 - Peds Oncology
About The Position
Inova Fairfax Hospital – Peds Oncology is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician 1 to join the team. This role involves providing direct care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses, effectively communicating with team members, patients, and visitors, and maintaining professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system. Additional duties may be assigned. The position requires availability for six (6) non-consecutive weeks of paid training, including virtual orientations, classroom-style sessions, virtual training modules, and on-unit shifts.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
Responsibilities
- Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurses.
- Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
- Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
- May perform additional duties as assigned
