Clinical Tech - Critical Decision Unit
About The Position
As a Clinical Tech, you’ll provide direct patient care under the supervision of nursing staff and physicians, ensuring compassionate and effective support for our patients. Your role is essential in maintaining the high standards of care that our patients expect and deserve, contributing to their overall well-being and recovery. Your day-to-day impact includes collecting and recording essential patient data – vitals, food and fluid intake/output, and more – with precision and care. You will respond to patient needs and partner with RNs to ensure maximum comfort and safety. You will notice the little changes that can make a big difference – and report them promptly. You will support mobility by helping patients ambulate and get where they need to go. You will assist with oxygen devices under RN direction and apply slings post-pacemaker procedures. You will perform clinical tasks such as Foley catheter insertion, bladder scans, enemas, blood glucose checks, and document results. You will provide help with daily activities, like dressing, meals, and hygiene. You will support RNs during equipment use and bedside procedures. You will deliver culturally sensitive care to a wide range of patients — from pediatrics to geriatrics. You will promote positive experiences for patients and their families through kind, respectful interaction. You will perform phlebotomy and IV access procedures with confidence and care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one of the following: Current nursing student with two completed semesters, graduate of a Registered Nurse program, LPN, EMT, Paramedic, Medical Assistant program completion, or Certification in Phlebotomy.
- Valid BLS certification or obtained during Patient Care Orientation.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to tailor care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

- Previous Clinical Tech experience.
- Experience in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
