About The Position

Eastpoint Pediatric Dental Associates is seeking an experienced, dependable, and team-oriented Clinical Lead Dental Assistant to join our pediatric dental practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled dental assistant who is ready to take on a leadership role while continuing to provide exceptional care to children and their families. The Clinical Lead Dental Assistant will serve as a key member of the clinical team, helping ensure smooth daily operations, excellent patient care, and a positive experience for both patients and staff. The ideal candidate is confident in pediatric dental assisting, organized, compassionate, and comfortable leading and supporting a team in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Requirements

  • Dental assisting experience required; pediatric dental experience strongly preferred.
  • Required dental assisting certifications and radiology credentials, as applicable to state regulations.
  • BLS Healthcare Certified

Nice To Haves

  • Previous leadership, mentoring, or lead-assistant experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, procedures, and infection-control practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced pediatric dental environment.
  • Comfortable working with children of varying ages and needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the dental assisting team in day-to-day clinical operations.
  • Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during pediatric dental procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensure clinical areas are properly stocked, organized, clean, and maintained.
  • Help coordinate clinical schedules and maintain efficient patient flow.
  • Mentor, train, and support dental assistants and new team members.
  • Promote adherence to infection-control, sterilization, and OSHA standards.
  • Help maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with children, parents, and caregivers.
  • Help create a welcoming, positive, and child-friendly clinical environment.
  • Monitor clinical supplies and communicate inventory needs to leadership.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining office policies and clinical protocols.
  • Serve as a role model for teamwork, professionalism, and patient-centered care.
