About The Position

This is where your technical expertise directly supports patient care. As a Clinical Systems Specialist, you will ensure critical communication systems operate reliably in a healthcare environment, helping clinicians deliver timely and effective care. This is where you can make an impact—by supporting technology that caregivers rely on every day. The Clinical Systems Specialist is responsible for on-site support and management of Care Communications solutions in a hospital setting. You will act as the primary technical resource, working closely with clinical staff and internal teams to deploy, support, and optimize systems. This role is fully onsite in Lexington, KY, with limited travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of experience in healthcare IT, clinical systems, or a related technical field
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues in a healthcare environment
  • Hands-on experience with network infrastructure, system installations, and database management
  • Experience supporting point-of-care or clinical communication systems
  • Knowledge of healthcare IT systems, clinical workflows, and patient care environments
  • Experience with on-premise and cloud-based communication platforms
  • Experience performing system configuration, upgrades, and validation testing

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical owner of Care Communications solutions, maintaining deep knowledge of system architecture and functionality
  • Support deployments including system provisioning, configuration, and coordination across internal and external teams
  • Provide technical support and issue resolution via on-site and remote channels (phone, email, IM)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and system performance issues during and post-implementation
  • Configure systems based on clinical workflows, translating user requirements into technical specifications
  • Monitor, track, and trend system issues to identify root causes and implement process improvements
  • Deliver end-user training, onboarding sessions, and documentation for system usage and updates
  • Support system upgrades, including planning, testing, validation, and post-release issue resolution
