About The Position

Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Additionally, nursing will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations will provide guidelines for the competent, safe and professional practice. The Clinical Supervisor will assume shift responsibility and accountability for the planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to the patient, family, care partner and appropriate others. Coordinate multi-disciplinary team members, direct and facilitate nursing staff in obtaining safe, optimal healthcare outcomes. Support activities that meet the facility vision, mission and goals. Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Oversee and guide employees that are under his/her supervision. Requirements

Current Texas nursing license or compact license.
One year full time experience in an acute care OR setting.
RQI BLS, ACLS and PALS required.
BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation.
Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
Must be able to identify and competently address needs of populations served.
Current RN licensure in the State of Texas, or compact required, BSN preferred.
One year full time experience in an acute care OR setting.
One year charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred.
RQI BLS, ACLS and PALS required.
BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation.
Must maintain all clinical competencies for area of supervision.
Must maintain all additional certifications required by area of supervision.
Must be clinically competent in area of population served.
Must demonstrate knowledge and ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel.
Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate team leadership.
Must have the ability to problem solve and think critically.
Must possess basic computer application skills.

Nice To Haves

Clinical certification in area of supervision preferred (i.e.CNOR)
