The Clinical Support Specialist (CSS) is responsible for supporting the counseling team and tasks associated with the day-to-day operation of The Crossing campus. The CSS will operate as the primary support to the counseling team. The CSS will provide direct support to residents by performing community evaluations and monitoring resident compliance with program guidelines. The CSS is responsible for the security and safety of the facility and residents during their shift. This includes control of drugs, alcohol, or other hazards, which could jeopardize the purpose of the Mission/Crossing or its clients. The CSS is responsible for ensuring that situations which jeopardize the safety of the Mission/Crossing, and its occupants are handled appropriately. This means handling difficult and unruly clients, as well as making certain that occupants are free from drugs, alcohol, and weapons. Sees to the welfare of outside guests by calling police, ambulances or behavioral health services. Regularly checking and documenting the delivery of medications. Ensuring that the right person receives the correct medication.
