About The Position

The Clinical Support Representative serves as a liaison between physicians and patients via electronic messaging. This role involves preparing and communicating messages to physicians regarding patient requests for test results and follow-up care, as well as handling patient requests for prescription refills. The position requires effective communication skills in person, over the phone, and in writing, along with extensive knowledge of practice policies and procedures. The representative must be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating accuracy, efficiency, and strong organizational skills. A key responsibility is the ability to read and comprehend patient medical charts, medical terminology, prescription medications, and physician messages. Strong computer skills, including interpretation for both EHR and PM systems, are essential.

Requirements

  • Medical Assistance Certificate or equivalent experience
  • 2 years clinical experience in a medical environment
  • Strong knowledge base of Medical Terminology
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, on the telephone and in writing.
  • Extensive knowledge of practice policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, and as a team worker.
  • Able to demonstrate accuracy, efficiency and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend patient medical charts, medical terminology, prescription medications, and physician messages.
  • Strong computer skills and interpretation for both EHR and PM systems.
