About The Position
Midwest Health is looking for a Clinical Support RN who will serve as a primary clinical responder and escalation resource. This role provides real-time guidance, clinical decision-making, and care coordination to assist communities and provide support as needed. The Clinical Support RN will work with Executive Directors and RCCs (Resident Care Coordinator) to manage complex clinical situations, communicate with healthcare professionals and families, and participate in quality assurance programs.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 2 years of experience
- Compact/multistate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
Responsibilities
- Perform real-time guidance as part of quality assurance
- Respond to incoming calls and alerts
- Manage and document complex clinical situations (falls, change in condition, behaviors)
- Advise on appropriate level of care and recommend for resident interventions
- Communicate with physicians, families, and staff
- Document interactions in EMR or other software
- Review, assess, educate, and provide guidance on sentinel events
- Participate in the QAPI program
