About The Position

Cottage Health seeks a Clinical Support Medical Assistant, Navigation Center for their CH Navigation Center department responsible for telephone assessment of patient’s needs under the direction of Cottage Navigation Center Leadership. Assists the clinical support nurse's and Navigator Specialists and Leads in the day-to-day call center functions to aid in exceptional patient experience.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of equivalent work experience.
• Certified Medical Assistant in the state of California within 18 months of hire or transfer.
• Knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology
• Ability to understand use, function, interpret, document and keep records.
• Familiarity with MS Office, Microsoft Outlook, and Electronic Medical Records.
• 1 year of medical assistant experience in a clinic setting.

Nice To Haves

• California State Certified Medical Assistant.
• Experience with Epic and CRM.
• Minimum of 3 years of medical scribe experience in a clinic or hospital setting.
• Experience using call center phone systems.
