About The Position

This role provides general medical office administrative support. The Clinical Support Assistant acts as a liaison between patients and physicians, handles phone coverage, and assists in the overall operation of the medical office. The position is largely sedentary, requiring the employee to remain stationary for the majority of the day, but involves regular communication with patients, staff, and medical providers.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED.
• Some clerical experience.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Excellent typing skills.
• Friendly telephone etiquette.

• 2 years of administrative/clerical experience.
• EMR experience.
• Medical Office experience.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Prior pre-authorization process experience.
• Spanish speaking.

Responsibilities

• Provide general medical office administrative support.
• Handle phone coverage for own desk and overflow calls to the department.
• Act as a liaison between patients and physicians.
• File medical and administrative correspondence for the department.
• Process prescription renewal requests.
• Complete patient forms.
• Obtain records.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
