About The Position

The Clinical Supervisor will oversee the delivery of evidence-based behavioral and mental health interventions by a team of mental health staff. This role involves providing clinical supervision, consultation, and training to ensure culturally responsive and trauma-informed services. The supervisor will manage programs in compliance with mental health regulations, develop quality assurance processes, and monitor staff productivity. Additionally, the role includes developing relationships with funders and stakeholders, assisting in program development, reviewing referrals, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring clients receive appropriate treatment and that all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Direct client services, including individual, group, and family therapy, are also part of the role, as is participation in staff and CFT meetings. The position requires maintaining clinical records according to professional standards and being available for after-hours crisis contact.

Requirements

Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work or other related field recognized by Community Care Licensing (CCL) and the Board of Behavioral Science (BBS)
Two years licensed with LCSW or LMFT preferred
Valid California driver's license with minimum 2 years’ driving experience required
Good driving record; Department of Motor Vehicles printout required
Meet all state licensing and insurance requirements
Must pass LIC 503 Health Screening Report and TB clearance
Familiarity with DSM and ICD Codes and Medi-Cal documentation and procedures.
BBS regulations, requirements and procedures.
Evidence-based practices for delivery of behavioral and mental health services.
Provide behavioral and mental health services to children and families from diverse backgrounds.
Provide strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to support a team of clinicians and staff.
Provide clinically sound treatment services based on client needs and treatment plans.
Demonstrate understanding of diagnostic evaluation methods, assessments and scales.
Respond to a range of client needs using differential diagnoses and treatment approaches, primarily related to evidence-based practices.
Lead children and adolescent therapeutic groups: Anger Management, Drug and Alcohol, Social Skills, LGBTQ and/or Sexual Abuse.
Utilize skill in crisis intervention, suicide assessment, conflict resolution and interpersonal communication.
Maintain and accurately complete clinical records in timely compliance with agency and Medi-Cal policies and procedures.
Work collaboratively with other community agencies on behalf of clients and/or the agency.
Demonstrate understanding of sound ethical practice in conjunction with the established and defined ethics of one’s training and discipline.
Effectively organize time and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Supervise a team of mental health staff and oversee the delivery of evidence-based behavioral and mental health interventions.
Provide clinical supervision, consultation, and training to staff to ensure the delivery of culturally responsive and trauma informed services.
Manage programs in compliance with mental health regulations and applicable laws.
Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure program effectiveness and fidelity to evidence-based practices.
Run reports and review productivity on each staff and provide support to staff to reach target goals.
Develop and maintain relationships with funders and stakeholders to support program growth and sustainability.
Assist in the development of the High-Fidelity Wrap program.
Review incoming referrals as needed.
Ensure compliance with related federal, state and local regulations, as well as departmental and county policies and procedures.
Ensure that mental health staff are maintaining and accurately completing clinical records in timely compliance with agency and Medi-Cal policies and procedures.
Ensure that clients receive appropriate mental health treatment services.
Ensure that mental health treatment services and reports are documented in a timely manner.
Provide a variety of treatment services as needed including individual, group and family therapy.
Participate in staff and CFT meetings as requested.
Maintain and accurately complete clinical records in compliance with agency and Medi-Cal policies and procedures.
Document mental health treatment services and reports in a timely manner.
Provide clinical assessment, client care planning and effective treatment implementation to children, adults and families.
Advise clients of available community resources and act as a liaison and/or advocate for clients/families to use the resources effectively.
Maintain clinical records in accordance with professional and ethical standards, insurance regulations and established counseling center policies and procedures.
Be available for after-hours telephone contact for clients in crisis.
Maintain appropriate documentation for Medi-Cal billing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
