About The Position

The Clinical Supervisor serves as a key leader within the Drug and Alcohol Program, supporting a positive, client-centered environment and guiding the team in delivering effective, recovery-focused services. This role helps ensure strong clinical practices, staff engagement, and overall program success.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in a generally recognized clinical discipline.
  • Preferred to be registered, licensed, or certified to practice if applicable.
  • 2 years of mental health experience, paid or unpaid
  • Knowledge and understanding of severe mental illness, recovery principles and recovery driven service system
  • Supervisory experience

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and staff to meet program needs; coach supervisors on interviewing
  • Provide ongoing staff guidance, mentoring, and feedback
  • Complete evaluations; manage promotions and terminations
  • Lead union-related processes for terminations and major violations
  • Oversee supervisor handling of lower-level issues (attendance, performance)
  • Step in for supervisor duties when needed
  • Model and reinforce Merakey Core Values
  • Promote a collaborative team environment
  • Approve staff timecards
  • Provide weekly supervision and bi-weekly team meetings
  • Support staff professional and licensure development
  • Attend assigned meetings
  • Assist with evidence-based practices
  • Handle administrative tasks (incident reports, case reviews, complaints)
