About The Position

The Clinical Supervisor ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, and cost-effective patient care through effective staffing, resource management, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. The role supports patient flow, oversees daily operations, and promotes a positive, accountable work environment aligned with Mercy’s mission and service standards. The position is for nights. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for full-time RNs with at least one year of experience; no contract is required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license.
• 3–5 years of hospital nursing experience.
• AHA Healthcare Provider certification, required or to be obtained within the probationary period.
• Strong clinical and leadership skills.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to support staff development and ensure quality patient care.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Previous leadership experience.
• TNCC, ACLS, and ENPC or PALS certifications, as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care delivery using the nursing process and coordinate care based on patient needs and staff competency.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and collaborate on patient flow and bed management.
• Serve as a leader, mentor, and role model by providing feedback, coaching, and accountability.
• Promote a positive work environment and staff engagement through shared governance and recognition.
• Communicate effectively with leadership, staff, and providers, and escalate issues as needed.
• Support regulatory compliance, policy adherence, and accreditation standards.
• Participate in performance improvement, quality initiatives, and root cause analyses.
• Address patient concerns and support service recovery to improve satisfaction.
