The Clinical Supervisor will support the Clinic Director in ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality clinical operations, providing administrative, operational, and clinical support to maintain excellent patient care, organized workflows, and effective communication.

Requirements

  • Must be a licensed Speech, Occupational, or Physical therapist in the state of California.
  • Maintain valid licensure, certifications, or equivalent as requested by an appropriate state agency.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of supervisory experience required.
  • Must be available to work flexible schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to problem solve by finding creative solutions and following-through.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, professional conversational skills, and enjoy working with families and patients.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage one's own time appropriately.

  • Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Raintree.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all day-to-day clinical operations of the site, ensuring a smooth, safe, efficient, and family-centered environment for patient care.
  • Collaborate with the Clinic Director on all site operations, including clinical staffing, patient flow, scheduling, and administrative processes.
  • Maintain compliance with all organizational policies, healthcare standards, safety expectations, documentation requirements, and legal business compliance.
  • Monitor and adjust clinic flow throughout the day, week, and month, to meet productivity goals and ensure timely support for families.
  • Hire all new clinical employees and onboard them by ensuring equipment, access, and training materials are prepared prior to start dates, in collaboration with HR and Headquarters.
  • Assist, develop, maintain, and implement training and onboarding programs for new employees, ensuring proficiency and adherence to standards through graded assessments/competencies.
  • Provide daily leadership that fosters an engaged, collaborative, and high-performing team of therapists, administrative staff, and support personnel.
  • Ensure staff have the necessary tools, materials, and guidance to perform at a high level, deliver exceptional care, and meet productivity expectations/targets/goals.
  • Conduct effective routine check-ins, coaching, and performance discussions to reinforce quality, professionalism, and accountability.
  • Manage schedules, staffing coverage, time-off requests, and adjustments to support steady patient care operations.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive culture that prioritizes teamwork, communication, and shared commitment to the mission.
  • Be responsible for clinic productivity metrics, such as schedule utilization, therapist billable hours, percentage of arrival, advanced schedule, and documentation timeliness.
  • Collaborate with HR and Clinic Director on the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Support clinicians in their daily patient flow by handling overall arrivals, treatment room usage, and clinical transitions, as needed.
  • Conduct team meetings, prepare agendas, and generate follow-up notes for shared storage.
  • Provide weekly reports to the Clinic Director and Headquarters.
  • Serve as a clinical mentor across disciplines to promote consistent, high-quality patient care.
  • Provide clinical insights to help the Clinic Director assess patient flow needs, program development, and resource allocation.
  • Promote a culture of peer-to-peer feedback to improve and maintain quality of service.
  • Manage inventory of clinical tools, therapeutic materials, standardized assessments, and specialty equipment, ensuring accessibility and readiness, and report needs to the Site Manager.
  • Help maintain clinical continuity by identifying gaps or barriers in treatment flow (e.g., signed plan of care, authorizations for services, need for reassessments, expiring plan of care) and communicating needs to the Site Manager/Headquarters.
  • Support the Administrative team in upcoming clinical deadlines (evaluations, reassessments, documentation timelines), as needed.
  • Coordinate with the Clinical Fieldwork Coordinator on student placement logistics.
  • Support internal quality efforts by helping prepare documentation, track forms, and organize materials needed for clinical reviews.
  • Support clinicians in preparing evaluations, reassessments, progress updates, intensives, and transitions of care.
  • Serve as an on-site clinical resource for the Site Manager and therapists, offering guidance on treatment logistics, clinical tools, session planning needs, and patient-care coordination.
  • Ensure clinicians have appropriate materials, resources, and therapeutic tools ready for patient care, and ensure tools are in good working condition.
  • Represent clinical needs and operational concerns to the Site Manager to enhance patient care and staff support.
  • Ensure clinical spaces are therapeutically equipped, clean, and fully supplied.
  • Execute clinical scheduling adjustments and coordination of patient needs, including clinician call outs, unexpected patient arrivals, etc.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by leadership.
