About The Position

Horizon is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to join their Mental Health and Addictions field team. The role involves providing direct services as needed, ensuring services align with agency standards, regulations, and best practices. The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for accurate and current clinical records, providing direct clinical supervision to multi-disciplinary team counseling staff on service delivery and caseload management, and offering clinical oversight on child/adolescent and adult cases. They will also monitor the completion and accuracy of clinical documentation, identify staff development needs, and assist the Program Director with day-to-day program management, coordination of team efforts, compliance with policies and regulations, and staff evaluations.

Requirements

  • Masters in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related degree required.
  • Licensed (LCSW or LMHC-D) with 3 years of clinical experience required.
  • Close to obtaining LCSW/LMHC-D required. “Close to obtaining” is defined as: Completion of all required clinical, patient‑facing hours and required supervision hours toward licensure.

Nice To Haves

  • DBT knowledge/training preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience providing direct care to child and adolescent populations
  • Training in play therapy preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct services as needed and consistent with the requirements and duties of the position.
  • Ensure that services are provided consistent with agency standards, regulations and best practices.
  • Ensure that clinical records are accurate, adequate and current as per OMH & OASAS regulations.
  • Provide direct clinical supervision to multi-disciplinary team counseling staff members regarding service delivery and caseload management.
  • Provide clinical oversight on child/adolescent and adult cases.
  • Monitor the completion and accuracy of clinical documentation by multi-disciplinary team counseling staff.
  • Identify counseling staff professional and clinical skill development needs, communicates these to the Program Director, and provides assistance as needed with accessing training and other resources.
  • In the absence of the Program Director, may perform day to day management of the program operation including management of staff, monitoring the maintenance of the site and reporting to administration.
  • Assist the Program Director with coordination of multi-disciplinary team efforts in the provision of services.
  • Assist the Program Director in assuring that the program complies with Horizon’s policies and procedures, the regulations of certifying agencies, and the requirements of funding sources.
  • Assist the Program Director in the evaluation of the program’s clinical staff in accordance with Horizon Health Services Personnel Policies and Procedures.
