About The Position

The Clinical Supervisor at One Family Illinois is responsible for the supervision, oversight, and direction of the Clinical Therapy team across all One Family Illinois Villages and Community-Based Services. This role ensures effective utilization of resources, meets contractual requirements, and addresses client needs. The Clinical Supervisor oversees and coordinates various treatment modalities, including individual, group, and family therapy, while providing direct supervision, leadership, and direction to assigned clinicians. They coordinate with third-party providers, offer training on clinical issues, and conduct clinical supervision and leadership organization-wide.

Requirements

Master’s of Social Work from an accredited program, or relevant Master’s Degree, and a minimum of three years’ experience in clinical practices.
Must hold a current Illinois license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Certified in the administration of IM-CANS, or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
Valid Illinois driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and insured and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass the required DCFS criminal background check, including child abuse and sexual offender registry.
Ability to work with DCFS, courts, and other social service systems.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong organization and coordination skills.
Sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of clients and staff.
Ability to relate to clients, staff, and the public in a courteous and professional manner.
Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple tasks.
Ability to work in a tobacco, alcohol, and drug-free environment.
Ability to exercise discretion and judgment.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential materials.
Must meet minimum standards for mental health professional as defined by state regulations.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local residential childcare facility, mental health, substance abuse, and dual diagnosis statutes and regulations; community resources; and social service programs.
Demonstrated appropriate decision-making skills without direct supervision.
Ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
Knowledge of mental health, substance abuse, and dual diagnostic treatment philosophies and modalities required.
Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing personnel administration and government funding.
Ability to plan, organize, control, coordinate, direct, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures necessary to maintain a sound organization.

Responsibilities

Oversee clinical documentation to ensure it is timely, accurate, well-written, and meets all internal and external standards to prevent audit deficiencies or financial paybacks.
Establish and maintain the mission of One Family Illinois by identifying societal and community needs, advocating the agency’s philosophy, and assisting in the development of program goals and objectives.
Coordinate formal relationships with outside providers to ensure quality services, including the creation and monitoring of all subcontractor agreements.
Maintain the stability and reputation of the organization by complying with legal and accreditation/certification requirements, working with Medicaid billing requirements, and assisting in fundraising activities.
Collaborate with Village leadership, case management, and Foster Parents to promote communication and coordination of Behavioral Health Services.
Develop systems and structures to ensure the highest quality of care in collaboration with the Director of Behavioral Health.
Maintain and develop staff by providing direct supervision, including interviewing, onboarding, transferring, promoting, disciplining, coaching, offering training opportunities, and evaluating performance with guidance from the Director of Behavioral Health and HR Department.
Manage the clinical intern program, liaise with academic institutions, and oversee the interview, onboarding, supervision, and evaluation of Master level clinical interns.
Maintain agency operations by overseeing the formulation and oversight of program goals.
Promote a positive agency image by presenting program services to the community, publicizing agency accomplishments, and adhering to a professional code of ethics.
Maintain and enhance professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and establishing professional networks.
Develop and maintain esprit de corps by modeling appropriate team behavior and promoting teamwork.
Create and distribute monthly Client Caseload lists, ensure accurate initial assessments for all clients, and assign cases to appropriate staff and interns within established timeframes.
Manage the 24-hour on-call Behavioral Health Services team, responding to and supporting on-call staff as needed.
Assist Village staff in appropriately responding to and resolving crisis issues.
Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential clinical progress notes and files for all clients and families.
Provide consultation to foster and biological parents of clients and case managers to ensure adequate understanding of the child's therapeutic needs.
Be responsible for budgetary goals within the department.
Network with appropriate agencies and professionals to ensure proper and timely referral to community resources.
Provide consultation and training on behavior management techniques.
Collaborate with One Family Illinois case managers & supervisors, DCFS, school personnel, court personnel, psychologists, psychiatrists, and medical physicians.
Prepare quarterly reports for clients, ACR’s, and Court reports as required by DCFS and One Family Illinois.
Prepare for and attend required case meetings and staffing.
Provide clinical and professional supervision (leadership) to unlicensed therapeutic staff and social work intern staff as requested.
Review, develop, and implement treatment and termination plans.
Be responsible for all aspects of Medicaid within the agency.
Comply with all One Family Illinois policies, state, federal, county, and city laws, rules, and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
