About The Position

The LCSW, LPCC or LMFT Clinical Supervisor is the clinical leader of the department and a member of the Clinical Management Team. He/she is responsible for the implementation and modification of all clinical services at the site. In addition, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the provision and integrity of all clinical and quality assurance services delivered to all clients in addition to the leadership of all clinical staff members and subordinate managers.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Master's degree with full licensure in the state of California as a Licensed Marriage + Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Current Licensure per State of California regulation.
  • At least 3 years' experience working with Substance abuse population and/or Acute In-patient, Residential, PHP, IOP programs.
  • 1+ years' experience supervising clinicians
  • Experience with Crisis/Risk Management.
  • Advanced knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, discharge planning and excellent documentation skills.
  • Advanced assessment, treatment planning, and discharge planning and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of the treatment and referral community in Los Angeles and Orange County, CA.
  • Knowledge of dual diagnosis treatment practices including non-pharmacological symptom management techniques.
  • Current certification in First Aid/CPR
  • Current Health Screening Clearance
  • Advanced knowledge of HIPAA, CARF, TJC requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of 12-step treatment model and its application in residential treatment.
  • Specific knowledge helpful in process addiction and treatment resources.
  • Knowledge of dual diagnosis treatment practices including non-pharmacological symptom management techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of HIPAA
  • Ability to train clinicians on intakes procedures in accordance with company, state, and ethical guidelines.
  • Ability to plan, implement, evaluate, and report activities as they occur in the therapeutic process.
  • Ability to complete all required Human Resource training within stipulated time periods.
  • Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate recovery programs, step work and give specific feedback to clinicians.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing and to prepare written documents.
  • Ability to complete all UR insurance reviews prior to the scheduled date and time, with appropriate accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent and dependable work schedule adhering to state requirements for employee work hours.
  • Ability to occasionally travel to meetings, other campuses, and counseling sites.
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations in a timely manner.
  • Able to demonstrate Crisis Intervention techniques using various de-escalation skills.
  • Ability to observe, evaluate and report on behavior, attitudes, and general emotional stability of clients and their family members in requisite daily / weekly documentation in order to assist in formulating treatment planning, discharge planning and other required documentation, by assessing social needs of individual clients.
  • Completion of all client documentation within organizational and professional timelines.

  • Computer skills- must possess basic computer skills including working knowledge of Mac operating systems and demonstrated proficiency with Google Suite and EHR.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the recruitment, retention, discipline, evaluation, and training of all clinical department staff members.
  • Ensures that clinical services are delivered according to company and DHCS standards and meet or exceed national industry standards.
  • Participate, as part of the clinical management team, agency planning and implementation of new programs or clinical services.
  • Evaluate all pre or post admission clinical data to coordinate treatment services on all clients admitted to Resurgence California, LLC
  • Consult with admissions team as needed to ensure potential admissions meet inclusion criteria for admission to Resurgence California, LLC
  • Refer clients requiring services (that fall outside of the company's scope) to appropriate agencies.
  • Ensure that all services being provided are in compliance with HIPAA, CARF, TJC and DHCS standards.
  • Carry a caseload as needed.
  • Communicate with families or referral sources as deemed appropriate.
  • Provides clinical supervision to master's level staff responsible for delivering services to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Conducts regular case conferences with clinicians and interns for supervision and consultation; reviews psychiatric case records and selects cases for discussion; supervises staff in assessing social, emotional and economic causes of problem behavior and mental or emotional disorders and in developing and modifying treatment and approves alternative plans; supervises consultation activities of employees.
  • Conducts clinical/treatment staff meetings and provides training; schedules staff to provide for clinic coverage; evaluates work performance; assists in disciplinary proceedings.
  • Working with the Clinical Director, coordinating all training for Clinical staff.
