About The Position

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team and provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director, the Clinical Supervisor may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. The role works with a unit-specific patient population.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Either three years of experience in a clinical area, including at least one year in the area of specialty, or a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing and two years of experience in a clinical area, including at least one year in the area of specialty.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Georgia, or a Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or multistate license.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.

Nice To Haves

• Additional life support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the nursing operations of a unit.
• May assume 24-hour nursing responsibility in the absence of the Manager or Director.
• Work with a unit-specific patient population.
