Position Summary In collaboration with surgery leadership, the clinical supervisor surgery operations is responsible for optimizing the operating rooms and sterile processing workflows through direct oversight of inventory including (but not limited to) supplies, reusable and disposable instruments, and other equipment and devices essential for providing high-quality patient outcomes. The supervisor also acts as a liaison between surgery leadership, physicians, and clinical staff as an essential resource promoting operational throughput and cost containment.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of 3 years of operating room or perioperative experience
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills are essential
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with supply chain or equipment management coordination
  • Experience with Microsoft word and excel

Responsibilities

  • Oversees inventory levels, ordering, and supply availability
  • Collaborates with vendors and materials management to prevent supply shortages and reduce waste
  • Identifies opportunities for workflow and equipment standardization
  • Ensures alignment between clinical needs and operational workflows
  • Supports a culture of safety, respect, and continuous improvement
  • Able to work independently and complete projects on time with accuracy
