About The Position

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Clinical Supervisor RN for a position in the Cardiac Cath Lab in Lewiston, Maine. This is a night shift position with an assignment length of 12 weeks. The role involves providing administrative oversight and support, assuming unit administrative responsibility in the absence of the Director/Manager, and developing departmental plans, performance improvement initiatives, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The supervisor will oversee staff orientation, training, and ongoing education, and will be accountable for staff performance, patient care quality, and unit operations during their assigned shift. They will also ensure efficient use of staff, equipment, and resources, and provide direct patient care as needed, continuously assessing patient care and directing staff to adjust plans of care.

Requirements

  • Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
  • Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Clinical Supervisor RN experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate preferred for Intensive Care.
  • Non-OB Facilities – NRP Required upon hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative oversight and support in collaboration with the Unit Director/Manager
  • Assumes unit administrative responsibility in the absence of the Director/Manager
  • Develops and implements departmental plans, performance improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance
  • Oversees staff orientation, training, and ongoing education
  • Communicates effectively with staff, physicians, and leadership (verbal and written)
  • Accountable for staff performance, patient care quality, and unit operations during assigned shift
  • Supports daily unit operations, including supervising, directing, and evaluating personnel
  • Ensures efficient use of staff, equipment, and resources
  • Provides direct patient care as needed within scope of practice
  • Continuously assesses patient care and directs staff to adjust plans of care as needed
