About The Position

The Clinical Supervisor (RN) will work on the 3 North Medical Surgical Renal Unit at Atrium Health Mercy. This 31-bed unit specializes in the treatment of new onset medical conditions and continuum of care for a diverse population of adult patients. Common medical conditions addressed include pancreatitis, diabetes, sickle cell, gastro-issues, pneumonia, COPD, substance abuse, mental health issues, and other general medical conditions. Atrium Health Mercy is a 196-bed facility of Carolinas Medical Center (CMC), a Magnet designated hospital in Nursing Excellence and a Planetree designated patient-centered hospital. Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing.
  • Experience in Renal care.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care.

  • Experience in a Magnet designated hospital.
  • Experience in a Planetree designated patient-centered hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise nursing staff on the Med/Surg Renal Unit.
  • Provide direct patient care as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and standards of care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Participate in patient and family education.
