About The Position

AMG Specialty Hospital - Houma is seeking a Full-Time Clinical Supervisor (RN) with ICU/Stepdown experience and/or CCRN or PCCN certification. The Clinical Supervisor is authorized by the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) to assume overall responsibility for clinical nursing practice, ensuring continuity in decision-making and consistency in nursing practice by meeting nursing and hospital standards and objectives. They act as a resource and support for nursing staff, represent administration during events in their absence, and foster a culture of professionalism and accountability. The role involves keeping leadership informed of potential risks, providing direct patient care as needed, and communicating effectively about patient conditions. Common medical conditions treated include Respiratory Failure requiring various ventilation methods, sedation/pain management, pressor management, cardiac/anti-arrhythmic management, complicated infections requiring long-term IV antibiotics, and chronic non-healing wounds. Shift differentials are paid for Night and Weekend Shifts. A $15,000 Sign-On Bonus or Tuition Reimbursement is offered with a 2-year commitment.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Louisiana Registered Nurse License.
  • ICU Experience and/or CCRN or PCCN certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Assume overall responsibility for clinical nursing practice.
  • Provide continuity in decision making and consistency in nursing practice.
  • Assure that nursing and hospital standards and objectives are met.
  • Act as a resource and support person for the nursing staff.
  • Represent administration during any event occurring in their absence.
  • Embrace and demand a culture of professionalism and accountability.
  • Foster a positive milieu.
  • Keep CCO and CEO apprised of situations that may place facility at risk.
  • Provide direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity.
  • Communicate with physicians/CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
