About The Position

AMG Specialty Hospital - Northwest Indiana is seeking a Full Time Clinical Supervisor (RN) for Nights. The Clinical Supervisor is authorized by the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) to assume overall responsibility for clinical nursing practice, ensuring continuity in decision-making and consistency in nursing practice by meeting nursing and hospital standards and objectives. This role acts as a resource and support for nursing staff, represents administration during the CCO's absence, and fosters a culture of professionalism, accountability, and a positive milieu. The supervisor is responsible for keeping the CCO and CEO informed of situations that may place the facility at risk and provides direct patient care as needed based on staffing and patient acuity. Effective communication with physicians, CCO, and co-workers regarding patient's clinical condition is essential, along with responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse Licensure in the State of employment.
  • ICU, LTAC, Critical Care, or Post-Acute experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • 2 years minimum experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assume overall responsibility for clinical nursing practice.
  • Provide continuity in decision making and consistency in nursing practice by assuring that nursing and hospital standards and objectives are met.
  • Act as a resource and support person for the nursing staff.
  • Represent administration during any event occurring in the absence of the Chief Clinical Officer.
  • Embrace and demand a culture of professionalism and accountability.
  • Foster a positive milieu.
  • Keep CCO and CEO apprised of situations that may place facility at risk.
  • Provide direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity.
  • Communicate with physicians/CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
