Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. Basic Purpose of the Job Assume shift responsibility and accountability for the planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to the patient, family, care partner and appropriate others. Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directs and facilitates nursing staff in obtaining safe, optimal healthcare outcomes. Supports activities that meet the facility vision, mission and goals. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision. The concepts of patient centered care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrate professionalism and service excellence standards at all times. Follow Model of Care for Nurse vs. Patient ratio (staffing), Complete New Chart Audits for patients, Keep up with Supplies and Ordering of Supplies, Continue Education with staff members, Keep Children’s Manager up to date on Unit status, Relieving Staff for lunch and ensure staff is clocking out/In. Attend the 0900 Charge Nurse meeting in ER, Lead Safety Huddle at 1000. Collaborate with Nursery and Pediatrics Clinical Supervisor to problem solve before bringing it to the attention of the Children’s Manager.
