This is a full-time, salaried, benefits-eligible W2 position that may be eligible for student loan repayment. The role emphasizes supervision as a distinct professional discipline, focusing on the development of pre-licensed clinicians within a training institution. Lorenz Clinic is a psychology clinic known for its doctorally-prepared clinicians and a model of care that addresses systemic issues. Professionalism and reflective practice are core values. Supervisors work on an interdisciplinary mental health team and hold a home department within outpatient, intensive outpatient, or psychological testing. Supervision is viewed as a critical function, a relational holding environment that supports trainees, patients, and the clinic's culture. The training program is selective, spanning master's practicum to postdoctoral fellowship, with APPIC-listed internship and postdoctoral fellowships. Supervisors are expected to contribute to the field, not just practice within it, which can help prevent burnout. Supervisors collaborate with the clinical manager, participate in reflective consultation, and are influenced by established theories of supervision. The role involves delivering psychotherapy and providing clinical and administrative supervision to pre-licensed clinicians, carrying a small clinical caseload (at least 15 client sessions per week) alongside approximately 5 supervisees. Limited call may be required. The clinic utilizes an industry-leading EHR and collaborates with referral partners. The position requires systemic awareness, relational skill, and social commitment.
