About The Position

The Mental Health Clinical Supervisor will support the delivery of services pursuant to California’s Medicaid 1115 JI Reentry Initiative and other requirements, with the goal of improving health outcomes and reducing recidivism. The teams supervised will be responsible for providing these services.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement while working in a stressful environment.
  • Two (2) years of post-licensure social work experience in a recognized social services or mental health care setting involving problems of mental or emotional adjustment and the use of psychiatric consultation.
  • A valid and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Successfully clear the LA County Live Scan process.
  • Successfully clear the Health Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions may be required.
  • Willing to work in Correctional Health Facilities

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with program management on staffing, operational, and clinical issues to support CalAIM-aligned service delivery and compliance.
  • Reviews case records to ensure clinical quality, accuracy, and compliance with CalAIM, Medi-Cal, and regulatory documentation standards.
  • Provides consultation on complex cases, supporting care coordination, risk management, and whole-person, integrated treatment planning.
  • Trains, supervises, and supports staff in CalAIM requirements, including documentation, care coordination, and evidence-based behavioral health practices.
  • Assign and monitor workloads to support timely access to services and continuity of care.
  • Communicates clinical and administrative direction to ensure alignment with CalAIM program goals and quality standards.
  • Identifies service delivery challenges and recommend improvements to enhance outcomes and efficiency.
  • Supports staff development by identifying training needs and providing ongoing clinical and procedural guidance.
  • Assists in planning and implementing behavioral health programs consistent with CalAIM requirements, including quality assurance and care coordination standards.
  • Stays current on CalAIM policy updates and best practices in behavioral health to ensure compliance and effective service delivery.
