About The Position

Clinica Sierra Vista is a large Federally Qualified Health Center serving diverse populations. They are looking for individuals who prioritize the patient experience. The Clinical Supervisor (CS) assists with the day-to-day operations of the health center, acting as the onsite representative of the Practice Manager (PM). The CS ensures best practices, manages patient and employee concerns in the PM's absence, and provides nursing care according to established standards. This role focuses on ensuring the best experience for patients, staff, and providers through efficient patient flow, schedule management, and communication with multidisciplinary teams. The CS must be responsive, professional, and understand health center priorities.

Requirements

  • RN or LVN degree required.
  • Basic Life Support card required.
  • Must have proven leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

  • Set a climate of open and frequent communication, including leading huddles, discussing open care gaps, clinic flow, and scheduling.
  • Manage staff by assigning and delegating tasks.
  • Work with providers to enhance the number of patients served and address open encounters.
  • Ensure the health center and team meet all quality improvement guidelines and requirements from health plans, county, state, and federal entities, and accredited auditing agencies.
  • Monitor practice progress through reports and dashboards for overall health center efficiency, including productivity, no-shows, open care gaps, open encounters, and lab/vendor billing discrepancies.
  • Determine and maintain efficient staffing levels and create monthly work schedules in partnership with the PM.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures function in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Approve payroll and manage time off requests for direct reports.
  • Effectively use resources to optimize productivity.
  • Order medical supplies, office supplies, and equipment.
  • Train new nursing and MA staff.
  • Perform introductory and annual employee reviews, competency forms, and annual reviews in partnership with the PM.
  • Review employee timecards for accuracy and make corrections.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal laws, and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform nursing tasks within their scope of practice for the health center.
  • Maintain required clinical logs.
