The Clinical Supervisor - Hospice Inpatient Unit is responsible for promoting an environment conducive to quality patient care within the Hospice Inpatient Unit. This role involves assisting with chart audits, identifying trends, and ensuring timely correction of charting deficiencies. The supervisor provides direction and support to the clinical staff, coordinates resources for daily operations, and monitors staff productivity. They also play a key role in staff orientation, education, hiring, coaching, and termination. The position requires coordinating 24-hour availability of field staff services, participating in process improvement initiatives, and ensuring accurate data collection for OASIS or Hospice Item Set. Collaboration with operational staff and leadership is essential for patient and referral relationship growth. The supervisor establishes and maintains quality standards, evaluates workflow, and develops relationships with physicians, community organizations, and other entities. Human resources responsibilities include coaching, performance reviews, and recommending personnel actions. Adherence to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and applicable regulations is mandatory.
