This position promotes an environment conducive to the delivery of quality patient care. The Clinical Supervisor assists with chart audits, identifies trends, and communicates results to management and the team. They assure field supervisory visits are accurately completed and provide direction to staff for efficient day-to-day operations. The role involves monitoring staff productivity, ensuring timely correction of charting deficiencies, and participating in staff orientation through teaching, coaching, and precepting. The Clinical Supervisor assesses educational needs, assists in developing in-services, and participates in the hiring process. They are responsible for hiring, coaching, and terminating direct reporting staff, coordinating 24-hour field staff availability, and rotating on-call coverage. In collaboration with management, they conduct process improvement, tracers, and joint visits, providing ongoing feedback. The role ensures accurate and timely OASIS or Hospice Item set data, works with operational staff for patient relationship growth, and establishes/maintains quality standards. They develop collaborative relationships with customers, physicians, and community organizations. Human resources responsibilities include coaching, performance reviews, and managing staff morale, with recommendations for hiring, compensation, promotions, corrective actions, and terminations. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and ensuring compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and laws.
