About The Position

OhioGuidestone is a leading community behavioral health care provider in Ohio, serving approximately 26,000 individuals annually. The organization offers telehealth and in-person prevention services, as well as mental health and substance use treatment, focusing on the holistic needs of individuals to empower them towards healthier futures. Since 1985, OhioGuidestone has been a significant provider of foster care services, collaborating with county children's services agencies to find suitable foster homes for children in need. They place medically fragile children, children with therapeutic needs, teens, parenting teens, and sibling groups. The organization is seeking an additional Clinical Supervisor to support its expanding foster care team, particularly for individuals with experience in mentoring, leadership, coaching, or working with interns.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work with a State of Ohio LISW or LPCC required.
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
  • Must be able to delegate, manage people, and evaluate staff and programs.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Must possess strong oral, written skills, and public speaking skills and the ability to conduct trainings.
  • Must maintain regular and reliable attendance to the satisfaction of management.
  • Must be able to operate a computer and proficient in position-related technologies.
  • Must be able to verbally exchange information in a confidential manner with employees, clients, participants, and/or families in various settings.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Must be able to clearly and confidentially communicate with OhioGuidestone employees, clients, students, participants, and other stakeholders.

  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Must be able to frequently drive and perform assigned duties in varying work environments including agency office and community-based including client homes in various communities.
  • Must be able to access work locations and, as necessary, client or participant homes which may include ascending/descending stairs.

Nice To Haves

  • LISW-S or LPCC-S with 3 years post independent license experience preferred.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR), Evolv preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of assigned staff, including hiring, supervision, and a strong emphasis on employee development, growth within current positions, and expanding leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Demonstrate and model positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment, and represent the agency positively in all interactions.
  • Ensure fiscal accountability of assigned programs and services, including budget development, meeting billing requirements, ensuring budget compliance, and resolving fiscal problems.
  • Develop detailed project plans and Logic Models to define and monitor program goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Adapt programs and services to enhance the agency's ability to serve community needs.
  • Ensure the integrity, compliance, and evaluation of the internship program and service delivery, adapting as compliance standards change.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, contract/grant specifications, and licensing, regulatory, and accreditation standards (ODJFS, ODE, County, Council on Accreditation, EAGLE Accreditation, NAEYC, SUTQ, State/County HMG, Medicaid, ODMH), as well as all Local, State, Federal, and GAAP laws and regulations.
  • Take a leadership role in interpreting and supporting agency policies, implementing industry best practices, and developing/implementing program outcome measures.
  • Develop therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • Act as a strong advocate for clients, making recommendations for clinical and support services upon discharge.
  • Actively participate in client treatment conferences and meetings.
  • Provide in-service training as requested.
  • Be available on-call via cell phone during non-work hours for clinical consultation and crisis management.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • May be involved in planning, organizing, and implementing special events, department-specific projects, or seasonal program changes.
  • Exhibit positivity, flexibility, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities.
